It was a Hidden Valley resident who died in a crash on Stateline Road on Saturday.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department said Monday morning that Wyndham Hewitt, 50, was at the wheel of the car that overturned near Augusta Drive. He was ejected and died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

Original story posted August 15 at 5:15 p.m.:

(Bright, Ind.) - One person was killed in a crash on Stateline Road near Bright on Saturday afternoon.

Dearborn County deputies were called to the crash scene just north of Augusta Drive. The vehicle had apparently overturned and ended up in a ditch.

The male driver was ejected. Aircare was called but eventually turned away as the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not yet been identified.

The accident remains under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department.
