Two Guilford residents were hurt in a head-on crash on State Road 1 in Dearborn County Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred on SR 1 near Pribble Road when two vehicles collided head-on, deputies said.
Aircare was called to take Ryan Huffman, 31, to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Candace Gray, 27, was taken by ambulance to Dearborn County Hospital. There’s no word on their current conditions.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department said the crash is still under investigation until blood test results are returned. Investigators did not say whether drugs or alcohol may have been involved.
Update posted Wednesday, October 9 at 5:02 p.m.:
State Road 1 reopened to traffic at about 4:50 p.m., Dearborn County dispatch reports.
Two people were taken to area hospitals. One was transported by medical helicopter, the other by ambulance, dispatchers said. No names or conditions have been released.
The accident remains under investigation by the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – A two-vehicle, head-on collision has closed State Road 1 in Dearborn County Wednesday.
The accident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. near Pribble Road.
Dispatchers said there were multiple injuries associated with the crash. At least one victim was trapped in one of the wrecked vehicles.
The highway is closed as emergency crews work the scene. There is no estimate on when it may reopen.
