(Florence, Ky.) – A man who allegedly helped two others gain entry into a Florence couple’s home so they could rob the residents has been arrested.
Thomas Powell III, of Erlanger, is charged with first degree robbery and two counts of kidnapping.
Eagle 99.3 previously told you about William and Wanda Baisem, both in their 60s, becoming victims of a home invasion robbery on August 5. They had opened the door for Powell, who they knew as an acquaintance. That’s when Powell was pushed aside and two black men forced their way into the Baise’s condominium.
On Tuesday, investigators said Powell allegedly conspired with the robbers, leading them to the Baise residence. The robbers knew the location of cash kept in the home. The taped up the couple before leaving the scene.
The two other men have not been identified or apprehended. Anyone with information as to their identities is asked to call either the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at (859) 334-2175 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
