(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The National Weather Service says it is hot outside almost to the point of being dangerous.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the entire tri-state area until 8:00 Wednesday evening. The high temperature is about 95 degrees today, with the heat index peaking around 105.
Daily highs will be in the 90’s through at least Sunday.
The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely.
People working outside are advised to drink plenty of liquid and take frequent breaks in a cool or air conditioned place. Checking on elderly relatives and neighbors is also recommended.
