(Osgood, Ind.) – A syringe loaded with heroin and ready to be used was allegedly found during a Ripley County traffic stop.
On Thursday, September 19, Osgood Deputy Marshal Adam Hunger approached a suspicious pickup truck parked at the Ripley County Fairgrounds at about 8:00 p.m. Hunger became suspicious of the two men inside the truck identified as Shawn B. Clift, 23, of Holton, and Robert L. Stinson, 24, of Osgood.
Hunger searched Clift’s vehicle. He allegedly discovered what is believed to be heroin and hypodermic syringes. One syringe found in the truck was “loaded” with heroin, Osgood Police said.
After completing the investigation Stinson was placed under arrest and transported to the Ripley County Jail. He is being held pending formal charging or posting a $1,050 bond.
Officer Hunger was assisted at the scene by Versailles Town Marshal Joe Mann.
