(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Folks in Ohio County will notice something Tuesday they have not seen for more than two months.

Rising Sun-Ohio County Schools are the first district in southeast Indiana to head back with their first student day.

The first day of school will be followed this evening by a school board meeting. A report on the first student day is on the meeting agenda

Other local districts will welcome students back this week, too. Students from Lawrenceburg, South Ripley, Batesville, and Jac-Cen-Del will head back to class Wednesday. Milan returns Thursday and Switzerland County Schools resume on Friday.

Sunman-Dearborn, South Dearborn, and Franklin County districts are scheduled to go back to class next week.
