(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Dearborn County teen is accused of Child Molesting.
Donald Joseph Mullins, 18, is in jail charged with two felony counts of Child Molesting filed August 23. He was arrested on the same date.
Mullins, of Guilford, came under investigation in April for alleged repeated encounters with a young child last year, before he turned 18.
The alleged victim detailed the experience with investigators at the Southeast Indiana Child Advocacy Center in Dillsboro, acocording to a court affidavit. When asked what made Mullins stop the alleged touching, the victim replied "nothing."
A judge has ordered Mullins be held on a $40,000 surety and $1,000 cash bond. Mullins has also been ordered to have no contact with the victim or any child under age 16 until his case is resolved. His next court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9.
If convicted, Mullins could be sentenced to up to 28 years in prison.
