Press release from Indiana Department of Transportation
(Brookville, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to mill and repave identified sections of U.S. Highway 52/Main Street during nighttime repair operations next week—starting Sunday (SEPT. 8) at 9 p.m. Flaggers will be present to direct single-lane traffic around moving worksites. All overnight repair and paving activities will conclude by 6:30 a.m. the following morning.
These operations are scheduled through Friday morning. But inclement weather or other circumstances could postpone an evening’s efforts—pushing the work into the following week.
Maintenance crews from the INDOT Brookville unit plan to mill and repave asphalt sections up to 350 feet in length beginning Sunday night at First Street. They will begin in the U.S. 52 northbound lane and continue north for 13 blocks. At Connersville Avenue, workers and equipment will reverse the route in the southbound lane.
INDOT requests that residents avoid parking in the work zone along Main Street during overnight hours next week.
