(Cross Plains, Ind.) - Ripley County investigators are releasing a sketch of a burglary suspect in hopes that it will lead to an arrest.
A home on State Road 62 near Cross Plains was burglarized on August 14. Ripley County Sheriff said in a previous story that the female homeowner had returned to her home only to face to face with a thief inside. The two briefly exchanged words before the male burglar ran out the door.
Since that report, police have also learned that there was a faded blue pickup truck, possibly a Chevy S-10, or Ford Ranger style, seen in the area the day of the burglary.
A sketch artist with the Cincinnati Police Department has helped the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office in its investigation with a composite sketch of the suspect.
“It is important to remember a sketch may not be an exact match, but rather a drawing of a subject that is very close in description,” Grills said.
