(Batesville, Ind.) - A recent police fundraiser for local kids is considered a big success.
The Second Annual Kops and Kids Ride was held by the William R. Rayner Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #177 last Saturday. The event was in partnership with the Southern Cruisers Laughery Valley Chapter #405.
The ride brought in over $5,000 to benefit children in Ripley and Franklin counties this coming Christmas season.
“The FOP wants those who donate to know the support is always appreciated,” said Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills. “To see the smile on the faces of the children, and the police officers with them, make for a great time and great relations.”
The FOP always accepts donations for the annual Kops and Kids program. Tax deductible donations can be sent to: FOP #177 Kops and Kids, 406 Catherine Street, Batesville, Indiana 47006.
