(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A popular Lawrenceburg night spot has been shut down Thursday.
Indiana Excise Police entered the Pirates Den bar in the afternoon and promptly shut down the store, asking customers to leave, one patron told Eagle 99.3. IEP public information officer Travis Thickstun said that the restaurant’s alcoholic beverage permit has been revoked by the Indiana Alcohol Tobacco Commission.
The doors to the bar were locked at 4:00 p.m. A customer outside said only the cook was inside.
A man named Mike reached at the phone number published on the Pirate Den’s website said he was not aware of any type of situation at the Lawrenceburg bar.
The Pirates Den is owned by the LLC Golden Dome Properties II. The president and owner of Golden Dome Properties, Paul Lohbeck, 62, has been in jail in Dearborn County since May 4 for OVI and probation violation charges.
