Michelle Knapp of Cincinnati was driving drunk on Interstate 74 in Green Township when she hit a car driven by Harrison resident Mary Krause during the early morning hours last Feb. 4
Krause, 60, and her son’s girlfriend Nicole Riddle, 27, of Harrison, were both killed. Wesley Krause, the son of Mary, was injured.
Knapp, 23, was sentenced to eight years behind bars when facing the maximum of 16 years. She had pleaded guilty in June to two counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide.
The night of the deadly crash, Wesley Krause and Riddle had done the right thing by not driving home drunk after going out with friends. They were on their way home after calling Mary Krause to pick them up when their car was rear-ended by Knapp’s Jeep.
