(Cross Plains, Ind.) – Police in Ripley County are investigating two recent daytime home burglaries.
Last Wednesday, August 14 at about 4:00 p.m., a resident arrived at her home located on State Road 62 west of State Road 129 near Cross Plains. Walking inside, the woman found herself face to face with a thief in her home. Sheriff Tom Grills said the two had a short exchange of words before the male burglar ran out the front door.
Deputies later came to find out that a second nearby home had also been forcible broken into. The thief took items from both residences.
