(Burlington, Ky.) - A Hebron man is maintaining his innocence in the murder of his wife.
Linda Atwood, 48, was found dead in the couple’s home on Limaburg Road Friday morning.
Her husband Daryl Atwood, 48, pleaded not guilty to a murder charge during his initial hearing Monday morning.
The judge did lower Atwood’s bond from $1 million to $500,000. His attorney said he called 911 and even tried to give his wife CPR.
Atwood’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 9.

(Burlington, Ky.) - A Hebron man is scheduled to be in court Monday morning to answer to a charge that he murdered his wife.
On Friday morning about 8:00, Linda Atwood, 48, was found dead in her home on the 2300-block of Limaburg Road in Hebron.
Later that day, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of husband Daryl Atwood, 48, and charged him with Linda’s murder.
Investigators have not released any details surrounding the case including how Linda Atwood may have died.
“The Sheriff's Department is not prepared to release additional information concerning the incident at this time for fear of jeopardizing the integrity of the case,” said Boone County Sheriff’s spokesman Tom Scheben.
Daryl Atwood’s defense lawyer has claimed that his client is innocent.
