(Greendale, Ind.) - A new arrest has been made in one of Dearborn County’s largest ever marijuana busts.
Last month, Dearborn and Ohio County Special Crimes Unit detectives confiscated more than 200 marijuana plants from two homes in Greendale owned by Hidden Valley resident James Lowery. Detectives were tipped off to the operation by an anonymous source.
Now in custody is the man of helping Lowery with the operation.
Whitewater Township resident James Felland, 59, was arrested July 19. He is charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver more than Ten Pounds and Manufacture of Marijuana more than Ten Pounds, both Class C felonies each punishable by up to eight years in prison.
According to a court affidavit, Lowery owned two houses in Greendale at 274 and 286 US 50 East solely for the purpose of growing marijuana inside.
While conducting surveillance on the homes leading up to the bust, detectives observed Felland at the two US 50 homes on multiple occasions.
