(Walton, Ky.) - A 52-year-old woman is accused of stabbing her 56-year-old husband in the chest with a butcher knife.
Boone County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in the Oakcreek Campground about 7:20 Thursday evening. That's where they allegedly found Edna Mullins' husband, Steven, had been stabbed with the chopping utensil.
Steven was rushed to University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Edna had fled the scene before officers arrived. She was later found as officers set up a perimeter in the area.
The woman had to be taken to the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence to get checked out for wounds she allegedly received from her husband.
Investigators have not filed charges against either of the two Mullins yet.
