Trung Van Truong, 37, was arrested Sunday at the Quality Inn in Greendale following a shocking discovery. He is charged with Criminal Deviate Conduct.
According to court documents, Truong allegedly met the male victim at a local casino. The victim agreed to go leave with Troung who said his friends were partying at a local hotel.
When the two men got into Truong’s car in the casino parking garage, the victim was offered a drink. The victim told investigators by the time he and Truong arrived at the hotel he felt like he had been drugged.
The victim was taken to a room on the third floor of the hotel which Truong had rented. As he was passing in and out of consciousness, the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted.
Friends of the victim later showed up at the hotel searching for him. That’s when the clerk called police.
Having seen the two men enter earlier, the clerk advised the officers to check Truong’s room.
After four or five minutes of knocking on the door, Truong answered the door to the room. Police were eventually allowed in and found the victim passed out on the floor.
“I’m scared,” the male victim told officers pointing to Truong according to the court affidavit. “I’m scared of him. I need to get away from him.”
When questioned, Truong denied having any sexual contact with the victim but accused the man of trying to kiss him as they drove to the hotel.
If convicted of the Class B felony of Criminal Deviate Conduct, Truong could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
Truong remains held at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on a $150,000 cash or $500,000 surety bond as of Friday morning.
