(Burlington, Ky.) – Cinder blocks, logs, tire jacks, and bricks.
Those items are what Boone County Sheriff’s investigators believe are the tools of choice for vandals responsible for a series of incidents over the past five months in the Hebron and Burlington areas.
In all, 26 vehicles and four mailboxes have been damaged.
The first incident occurred March 9-10 when five vehicles and four mailboxes were damaged on Damascus Road in Hebron as well as Fawn Drive and Sundance Boulevard in Burlington. A second set of incidents occurred May 29-30 on Sunchase Boulevard, Damascus Road, and Micah Court.
Two weeks later on June 12-13 and 14-15 ten more vehicles were reported damaged on Petersburg Road, Berwood Lane, Coral Drive, and West Horizon Drive.
Most recently on July 20-21 and 24-25, seven vehicles were vandalized on Sequoia Drive, Petersburg Road, and Bermuda Drive.
Deputies investigating the vandalism spree think they have a description of the suspect’s vehicle. It is described as an older model, dark blue-ish pickup truck with loud exhaust and possibly one headlight working.
Anyone with information on the possible identity of the vandals or knows of a truck matching the description is asked to call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at (859) 334-2175 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
