(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Stealing change out of cars at parking lots in Lawrenceburg and Aurora did not pay off for one accused criminal.

John James Meyers III was spotted by customers getting into several cars in the parking lot at the Lawrenceburg Kroger store on Tuesday, July 20.

Lawrenceburg Police were called to investigate and determined that Meyers, 31, was also seen on surveillance getting into cars at Dearborn County Hospital and the Aurora Wal-Mart.

He is now held at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center charged with Theft, Unauthorized Entry, and Probation Violation.
