(Osgood, Ind.) - About 900 Southeast Indiana REMC customers will be without air conditioning for part of the day Thursday.

REMC has a power outage planned for those customers part of the Hopewell substation just west of the Ripley County town of Osgood. Crews will be working to install a new transmission line at the substation between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.

The residents who will be affected have been notified by the power company.
