(Batesville, Ind.) – The Batesville Police Department is inviting all citizens to show their unity in opposition to crime in their city.
Batesville’s National Night Out Against Crime event is planned for Monday, August 5 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Batesville Memorial Pool. There will be a free cookout and swimming. Those attending can register to win a bike.
National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our community by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with our local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
It’s also an opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better.
The City of Rising Sun announced its National Night Out event last week. It will take place at the Rising Sun Community Pool on Tuesday, August 6 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. More information is available here.
