(Warsaw, Ky.) - A teen is dead after an apparent drowning in the Ohio River over the weekend.
Friday afternoon, 19-year-old Taylor Fisher was swimming with another teen in a no swimming area at the Warsaw City Boat Dock. At about the time a boat approached the dock, Fisher somehow went under water and was not seen again, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department said.
Boone County Water Rescue crews pulled Fisher’s body from the water about six hours later at around 9:00 p.m.
Gallatin County Sheriff Josh Neale said Fisher may have suffered from epileptic seizures, which may have contributed to the possible drowning. Neale, a fellow Warsaw resident, said he knew Fisher and his family.
The investigation into the drowning is continuing.
