The officers targeted a popular portion of the river in an effort to keep the waterway a family-friendly venue.
Included in the arrest list were 10 for public intoxication, 11 for drugs, six for possession or consumption of alcohol by minors, five for littering and one for public nudity.
“Families often float the Whitewater River as a form of recreation. There is no reason they should have to witness alcohol abuse or drug use while they are on the river. There is no tolerance for either,” said ICO Corporal Steve Kinne.
