(Warsaw, Ky.) - A woman died in an early morning house fire in Warsaw Wednesday.
Kentucky State Police say Audrey Wright, 75, was killed when a fire tore through her home at 2175 U.S. 42 just after 4:00 a.m. The fire had fully engulfed the home when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
Wright’s adult son was home at the time, but he was able to escape without injury.
Troopers say the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it does not appear to be suspicious.
Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Gallatin County Fire Department, and Warsaw Police Department.
