(Osgood, Ind.) - Police are accusing a man of swiping copper from Southeast Indiana REMC properties.
Osgood Police began investigating the reports of theft of copper wiring on Wednesday, June 12, said Osgood Town Marshal Eric Roush. The investigation led officers to the apartment of Brandon Kielbasa, 33, of Osgood.
Roush credited Schneider’s Scrap Metal and Southeast Indiana REMC for their help with the investigation. He also thanked the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office and Versailles Police for their assistance.
“Osgood Police department strives to be pro-active in the fight against crime. Through community policing and the great working relationships with these and many other Departments, this is possible,” said Roush.
Kielbasa is currently held in the Ripley County Jail on charges of Theft and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle. His bond is set at $1,050.
