(Petersburg, Ky.) - A head-on collision in Boone County Thursday afternoon put five people in the hospital – two of them children.

Boone County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tom Scheben says the crash happened at about 4:30 on the 4800 block of Belleview Road in Belleview.

It appeared 32-year-old Eric Fiebig, of Belleview, drove his passenger car left-of-center and hit an oncoming car driven by 38-year-old Marjorie Turner, of Petersburg.

Fiebig’s four-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old boy in Turner’s car were both flown to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Fiebig was also seriously hurt.

Turner and a six-year-old girl who was a passenger in her car were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Team.
