(Batesville, Ind.) - Four people were hospitalized after a crash near Batesville on Tuesday night.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says a car driven by Aric Enochs, 26, of Lawrenceburg, ran a stop sign at Delaware Road and County Road 1400 North. Enochs’ vehicle collided with another car driven by Marilyn Gausman, 73, of Batesville.
Gausman was taken to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville then later transferred to University Hospital in Cincinnati.
Enochs was hospitalized at Margaret Mary along with two passengers in his vehicle: Mikel Kinnard, 19, of Batesville, and Brandon Klingman, 21, also of Batesville. Police said Klingman was later transferred to University Hospital.
There is no word on the victims’ current conditions.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash in cooperation with the Indiana State Police.
Assisting agencies at the scene were Batesville Police, Batesville Fire, Batesville EMS 10, and Ripley County EMS.
