(Moores Hill, Ind.) - A former Moores Hill Town Board member will avoid jail time after taking a plea agreement.
Willie Woolums, 59, was charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia after police discovered pot plants growing in his backyard last September.
Woolums will have those charges dropped after pleading guilty to Cultivating Marijuana as part of a plea agreement in Dearborn Superior Court II.
In exchange for the plea, he will serve one year on probation.
Woolums has since resigned from the Moores Hill Town Board.
