(Connersville, Ind.) - Fayette Regional Health System is welcoming the star of A&E's "Duck Dynasty" to Indiana and the Whitewater Valley this Saturday, June 15.
Willie Robertson, President & CEO of Duck Commander, will make two appearances at Spartan Bowl Arena, 1900 N. Grand Ave, Connersville, IN. Shows are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. June 15.
Reserved bleacher and reserved floor seats are still available for both shows…including some front row seats! Reserved bleacher tickets are $12, and reserved floor tickets start at $50. Tickets are available this week at the will call window in Spartan Bowl (Thursday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.), by calling 765-827-7705 or emailing email@example.com. Phone and email orders will be available for pick up at the will call window.
Each show will last approximately one hour. Doors will open at 3:00 p.m. for the 4:00 p.m. show, and at 6:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. show. Willie will leave the Spartan Bowl promptly in conclusion of the first show so that the staff of students and volunteers can prepare the arena for the second show. Fans are invited to exit, and visit the Duck Commander souvenir stand in the cafeteria adjacent to the arena.
Official Duck Commander shirts, hats, duck calls, decals and more will be on sale beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Come early to shop! These souvenirs are direct from the Duck Commander warehouse in West Monroe, LA, and are available in only a limited number of retail stores. There will also be a limited amount of Buck Commander souvenirs on hand.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as it is expected that Connersville will see a large increase in traffic the day of the event. Parking near the arena is limited, and streets surrounding the area will be closed. Fayette Regional & Connersville High School have made additional parking available at the old Kmart building (2500 N Park Rd.); Connersville High School (1100 Spartan Drive); Ivy Tech (717 W 21st St). Limited shuttle service for these areas will be provided by Calvary Baptist Church, Higher Praise Worship Center and Connersville Baptist Temple. This shuttle service is offered for free by these churches. Donations from passengers will be accepted.
Fayette Regional Health System’s 100th anniversary celebration began in April, and this event is one of many planned to mark this milestone with the entire Whitewater Valley. In addition to celebrating 100 years of service, Fayette Regional is teaming with Connersville High School using this event as a fundraiser…specifically for the CHS Key Club and CHS FFA.
"Partnering with Connersville High School is the perfect opportunity for Fayette Regional to give back to the community that has given so much to us for 100 years,” said Randy White, President & CEO at FRHS. “The idea for this event came from the CHS staff and students. We have been working with Superintendent - Dr. Russell Hodges, Principal - Dr. Patricia Flowers and teacher – Shantel Cartwright for quite some time. I am excited to finally see this idea come to life.”
The faculty and students of Connersville High School are "extremely excited" to be part of the event, according to Cartwright. "The students were looking at options for a yearly fundraiser," she said. "The idea to get A&E’s Duck Dynasty came from one of our brainstorming sessions. It’s been a long process, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Fayette Regional.”
