(Hebron, Ky.) - DHL will celebrate its expanded facility at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport Thursday.
An 11:00 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to recognize the company’s $105 million investment over the past four years at CVG. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting.
The expansion has included a new $46 million, 193,000 square foot sorting facility on which construction began last year. Other additions have been new equipment, aircraft gates, employee parking, and establishing operations at CVG. DHL's presence has helped attract new business to Boone County, such as Southern Air earlier this year.
DHL employs approximately 2,000 people in Hebron.
The facility at CVG acts as DHL’s principal hub in North America. It is the gateway for shipments to and from international locations.
