(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Southeast Indiana’s biggest weekly summer party starts its 2013 season Thursday.
Lawrenceburg Main Street’s Music on the River features live bands for free every Thursday through September 5. The season’s first concert tonight features world class vintage rock & roll from the 50s and 60s with Phil Dirt and the Dozers.
The concerts run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the lot at the corner of High and Short streets in the city’s downtown. Concert-goers are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
Each week’s concert will also include a car show by the Indiana Gassers. The Lawrenceburg Farmers Market which had been held on Tuesdays, will be switched to Thursdays preceeding each concert.

July 11 – Nashville Crush, contemporary country
July 18 – The Newbees, The Beatles tribute band
July 25 – Parrots of the Carribean, Jimmy Buffet tribute band
August 1 – Ridge Runner, energetic country
August 8 – Jay Jesse Johnson, blues and rock featuring a dynamic guitarist
August 15 – Grooveyard, variety of rock and contemporary
August 22 – Strange Brew, 60s and70s rock, blues, and country
August 29 – Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra, show tunes and piano favorites
September 5 – Blue Stone Ivory, distinctive horn driven sound featuring classic rock
