(Batesville, Ind.) – Rain alone was not enough to douse the flames of a semi which caught fire on Interstate 74 in Ripley County Wednesday morning.

Indiana State Police dispatchers say at about 6:30, motorists called reporting a semi had burst into flames in the westbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 150, just east of the Batesville exit.
There were no reports of injuries.
I-74 WB was shut down for about 40 minutes as firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the scene.
