The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals, Cincinnati Police and other law enforcement carried out the “Adam Walsh Compliance Operation” last week. The action was to check and verify the registration information of the registered sex offenders living in the county.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil said the operation checked 1,114 addresses of the more than 1,300 registered sex offenders in the county.
Of those, 72 were found to be out of compliance in some way. Twenty of those offenders were arrested. Warrants were issued for the other 52. Another 720 offenders were confirmed. Notices were left at 237 residences which remain under investigation.
