Lawrenceburg American Legion Post 239's Memorial Day Parade drew a very respectable crowd in its 2013 return Monday.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – It was a welcome sight for those riding in the Memorial Day Parade organized by the Lawrenceburg American Legion Post 239.
A good crowd was there to wave and applaud the veterans, first responders, boy scouts, and others participating. Monday’s turnout was an encouraging sign for a parade that did not happen in 2012 due to low interest from the community.
This year’s abbreviated parade proceeded down a shorter route on Walnut Street spanning from High Street to U.S. 50. Veterans and their families later gathered for a ceremony at the Greendale Cemetery.
