The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has identified the male victim as Clayton Moorehead, 85.

He died at the scene after being found face first in a septic tank.  A man who had come to mow Moorehead's lawn made the discovery.

Moorehead reportedly lived alone.

(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - Hamilton County authorities are investigating a gruesome death in Whitewater Township.

5200 block of Lawrenceburg Road Google Maps

Tuesday morning, an elderly man was found dead in a septic tank along the 5200 block of Lawrenceburg Road.

He was head first in about four feet of water. A hoist was used to lift out the body.

There is currently no word on the victim’s name.
