(Ripley County, Ind.) - A court hearing will take place Friday for an Ohio teen accused in the murder of a Milan woman last year.
Nancy Hershman, 68, was gunned down in her home during a botched burglary early in the morning December 30. Three people have been accused in her murder: 22-year-old Alison Moore and two teenage boys, all from Colerain Township, Hamilton County.
One of the boys, 15-year-old Sean David Nichols, has already been bound over to adult court in Ripley County to face charges of Murder and Burglary. The judge made that decision March 7.
The second teen is a 16-year-old only identified so far by his initials D.H. He has a hearing in Ripley County Juvenile Court Friday to determine if he’ll be charged as an adult, too.
D.H.’s first appearance in juvenile court April 16 was recessed.
The trio had driven to the Milan area from Ohio. They allegedly broke into and robbed one residence late on December 29 before driving to Hershman’s home on West Ellis Street. They allegedly broke in and were confronted by the widow, who investigators say confronted the burglars before Moore shot her.
