(Versailles, Ind.) – Robert Baston may be at least 75-years-old before he gets out of prison.

Baston, 41, was sentenced to 40 years in prison by Ripley Circuit Court Judge Carl Taul on July 1, the Osgood Journal reports.  He faced a max sentence of 50 years.

The Milan resident was convicted of Child Molestation in a jury trial June 4.  He had molested a family member after taking her on a four wheeler ride to a secluded, wooded area during a family reunion.

Baston’s DNA was found in the crotch area of the child’s bathing suit – evidence revealed during the trial which featured testimony from the young girl.

At minimum, Baston will serve 34 years of his sentence by receiving credit for one day for every six.
