The Indianapolis Star reports that Democrat incumbent Baron Hill has $1.1 million left in his war chest according to newly filed campaign finance reports.
Republican challenger Todd Young, an attorney from Bloomington, had just over $259,000.
Hill was the beneficiary of a fundraiser with Vice President Joe Biden last month and is part of a Democrat program which funnels money to vulnerable candidates.
The most recent poll from Public Opinion Strategies, conducted in May, showed Todd Young trailing Hill by seven points among 300 likely voters, 41-34 percent.
