(Undated) - Flags are being flown at half-staff Wednesday at Indiana’s state facilities in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
The day honors federal, state and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence is also asking businesses and homeowners to lower their flags to pay tribute to the men and women in law enforcement.
President Obama has also signed a proclamation ordering the flags nationwide be flown at half-staff Wednesday. Flags should remain at half-staff until sunrise on Thursday, May 16.
