(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Indiana State Representative Bob Bischoff (D-Greendale) has been serving the 68^th District for 30 years.

He may have had his closest call in a re-election bid in 2008 when political newcomer Jud McMillin, a Brookville attorney, lost to Bischoff in a narrow race which saw the two separated by just 498 votes out of more than 27,000.

Bischoff may have the opportunity to reassert his experience in the Indiana Statehouse to voters during an upcoming debate with his Republican opponent.

Southeast Indiana Tea Party group We the Hoosiers has organized a Meet the Candidates debate for Aug. 10.  It will take place at the Lawrenceburg Community Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The event will be open to the public.
