(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg woman accused in the disturbing neglect death of her sister is pleading guilty.
Vickie Holdcraft allegedly allowed her physically disabled sister Priscilla Frieberger to be stuck in a chair in their Wilson Creek Road home for three weeks in September and October of 2011. The chair had to be surgically removed. An autopsy determined that Frieberger, 61, died of pneumonia and blood poisoning.
Holdcraft, 59, was in Dearborn Superior Court II Thursday to plead guilty to a charge of Neglect of a Dependant, a Class D felony. As part of the negotiated plea agreement, charges of Reckless Homicide and Perjury could be dismissed.
When asked by the judge, Holdcraft, a former Dearborn County Health Department employee, also acknowledged her role in her sister’s death.
Sentenced has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 11. Holdcraft faces up to three years behind bars or on probation.
