(Dillsboro, Ind.) – Dillsboro Utilities is giving the “all clear”: it is no longer necessary for customers to boil their water.
A Water Boiling Advisory was issued Sunday following a water main break that caused possible contamination in the supply. Residents were urged to boil their drinking and cooking water for five minutes before use.
On Wednesday morning, the utility company announced the advisory has been lifted.
“Bacteriological samples have been collected from the Dillsboro water system and tested. The test results were satisfactory and it is no longer necessary to boil the water,” said Dillsboro Town Manager Scott Fortner.
Dillsboro Utilities thanked its customers for the patience and conservation measures during the advisory.
