(Harrison, Oh.) - It’s six years in the slammer for a Harrison man who caused a fatal crash on Interstate 275 in Whitewater Township last December.

Gabriel Lowe, 31, was convicted on one count of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and three counts of Vehicular Assault in Hamilton County court last month.
On Thursday, a judge sentenced Lowe to the six year prison term. He will also lose his driver’s license for life.
Prosecutors were asking for the maximum sentence of 9 ½ years.
Lowe was at the wheel of his pickup truck Dec. 5 when he rear-ended a car driven by Florence, Ky. resident Shawna Ishmael, 38.
Ishmael’s car was sent into the median where it struck a utility pole, killing her. Three of Ishmael’s relatives in the car were injured.
