(Dillsboro, Ind.) – There is a Boil Water Advisory in Dillsboro asking residents to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it.
Dillsboro Utilities issued the advisory as a precautionary measure over the weekend following a water main break. The decision was made in consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, said Dillsboro Utilities official Scott Fortner.
Customers should boil their drinking and cooking water for five minutes before use. They are also asked to conserve water for basic household and personal needs.
The advisory lasts until further notice, Fortner said.
People with questions should contact Dillsboro Utilities at (812) 432-3243.
