(Batesville, Ind.) - A Batesville man is in jail charged with raping a woman because she was talking to another man.

Tyler James Johnson, 21, is was arrested Tuesday the Versailles Republican reports.
Police allege that Johnson became angry with his girlfriend when she was talking on the phone with another man.
Johnson threatened to kill that other man with a knife and forced the woman to have sex with him as the both drove to the man’s apartment. The girlfriend later convinced Johnson not to confront the man.
Johnson also left a two-year-old alone in his apartment during the altercation.
He is being held in the Ripley County Jail on charges of Rape, Criminal Confinement, and Neglect of a Dependent, all felonies.
