(Bright, Ind.) - A man from Bright is dead after a drowning in a West Harrison pond Wednesday night.

Dearborn County Water Rescue crews were called to a residential pond at 66481 Wiedeman Road at about 8:30. They pulled Steven Cirino II from the water.

Cirino, 23, was rushed to Mercy Medical Center in Harrison where he was pronounced dead.

Reports say Cirino was swimming with friends when he suddenly went underwater.

Investigators are now looking into the drowning accident. An autopsy will be performed.
