(Union, Ky.) - A Boone County father is in hot water over the way he disciplined his son because the child wasn’t playing a game correctly.

Christopher Robison, 46, of Union was arrested and charged with Criminal Abuse 1st Degree (Class C felony) Monday.
Investigators say on July 4 Robison used a belt to beat his five-year-old because the boy was not playing hopscotch to his satisfaction. The beating allegedly caused severe bruising.
Robison, who is a teacher at Camp Ernst Middle School, could be sentenced to between five and ten years in prison if convicted.
He bailed out of the Boone County Jail on $500 bond after turning himself in Monday.
