(Aurora, Ind.) – George Street in Aurora will be closed to traffic for six days starting April 5.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says that CSX Railroad will have crews rebuilding the crossing on George Street near U.S. 50. Work will consist of intersection widening, new signals, and sidewalk.
The closure of George Street will begin Friday, April 5 and is scheduled to last six days. More work will continue beyond the closure, causing lane restrictions throughout the project’s end scheduled for June 30.
Businesses on George Street want citizens to know that they will be open during the closure.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
