The Lawrenceburg Fire Department has ruled the cause of Friday's house fire at 332 Short Street as electrical.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Nobody was hurt as 35 firefighters battled an overnight house fire in downtown Lawrenceburg.
The blaze was reported about 11:52 p.m. Friday at a home at 332 Short Street, according to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department. The first firefighters arrived on scene four minutes after the call and witnessed flames coming from the second story of the home.
It is unclear if anybody was home at the time.
Firefighters from Lawrenceburg, Aurora, and Bright remained at the scene until about 6:00 a.m. making sure the fire was out.
The home was badly damaged. A cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
The firefighters were assisted by Aurora Fire Rehab, Lawrenceburg Emergency Rescue Unit, Lawrenceburg Utilities, Lawrenceburg Police, and Kevin Turner of the Dearborn County Fire Investigation Unit.
