(Indianapolis, Ind.) – A man suspected in a fatal shooting at an Indianapolis bar early Thursday morning could be headed for southeast Indiana.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the shooting occurred at the Free Spirit Lounge in Castleton at about 1:00 a.m. Thursday. The victim, 33-year-old Elisha McAfee, was found lying on his back in the bar and was pronounced dead a short time later. He had been shot multiple times.

Witnesses of the shooting identified the shooter as Brian Fegley, 41, of Indianapolis, who was arguing with McAfee shortly before the shooting. He fled the scene prior to police arriving.

A regional police radio dispatch was broadcast later Thursday morning. It stated that Fegley possibly told his girlfriend that he could be heading to Belterra Casino Resort in Switzerland County.

Fegley is believed to be driving a maroon 2004 Ford Fusion 4-door with Indiana license plate 914ETL. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached or confronted by anyone other than law enforcement.

Anyone with knowledge of Fegley’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or (317) 262-8477 immediately.
